About the Speaker:
Thomas E. Cartee, the Vice-President of Sheets Smith &
Associates, a private wealth management and economic advising firm. His specific
areas of focus include political economics, the Federal Reserve, and behavioral
finance.
Before joining Sheets Smith, Mr. Cartee held
positions at Banc One Capitol Corporation, First National Bank, and was the
Vice-President of North American Affairs at Swiss Bank Corporation. His
experience at Swiss Bank included responsibility for the Credit Analysis
Department and relationship management for a portfolio of Fortune 500 corporations.
He has been published in many economic journals and is a frequent lecturer at national
economic conferences. Recently, he worked with iShares and Brown Advisory to
create models for global ETF investing. Mr. Cartee received his Masters from
the Keenan Flagger School of Business at the University of North Carolina, and
earned his Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Davidson College.
